Congratulations to Jim and Amber Peterson of 2210 N. 16^th Avenue. Their home has been chosen to receive the Blue Ribbon Award. The Petersons have two children, and have lived in Fairview Place for five years. Jim said they were drawn to the home because of its landscape design. He is a landscape architect. He liked the nice mix of grass and cacti.

Their nicely maintained home has a front façade which presents a gabled porch roof that matches the main gable. A  peaked vent is a nice craftsman’s touch. The colorful brick exterior is a distinctive feature.

In 1940, the year this house was built, McDonald’s opened its first stand in Pasadena, California.
