1.                           FLOOD PLAIN NO MORE
===================================================

From neighbor Doug Parker :

High and Dry

I was just over at the City of Phoenix at their Flood Plain Management Office.  The Flood Plain Manager Hasan Mushtaq told me that they recently completed a study, that was accepted by FEMA, to remove about 3,000 homes from the cave creek flood plain.  This includes removing all of the Fairview Neighborhood, all of Encanto-Palmcraft, all of Del Norte, and parts of FQ Story.

The flood plain maps are still being updated, but the FEMA case number is 07-09-1713P.  I've attached a pdf of this letter to this email.  Mr. Mushtaq recommended keeping a Prefered Flood Policy (which costs about 75% less than a full policy) on our homes due to a slight risk of inundation.  We should not be required to have a full policy anymore.

I've attached the case report to this email.  [Case No. 07-09-1713P]
