Seven-year-old Lyric said she confidently bought her ticket with her own money...and indeed that ticket won her the quilt in today's drawing at our annual holiday party at the Valley Garden Center. Congratulations, Lyric!

Quilting is an old-fashioned way for neighbors to connect. Neighbors and community are the essence of a quilt with its sharing of fabric, ideas, creativity and time.

This is a 1930's-style queen-size quilt designed and assembled by six Fairview Place neighbors and friends and quilted by Donna Reed. It will be raffled off to a lucky winner at our neighborhood Holiday Party on Sunday afternoon, December 9, 2007. That lucky winner could be you. (No need to be present to win.)

Raffle tickets are available now for a $5 donation.

Proceeds from this raffle will go to the Fairview Place treasury to help cover costs of the website, news printing, the Holiday Party, and other events. This is a great way to support neighborhood activities.

For tickets call:  Kelli Kereney (254-0483), Sharon Kostyun (258-2965) or Marge McCue (253-5579).

"We thoroughly enjoyed making the quilt. We hope all our neighbors will promote ticket donations. Call us if you want tickets for yourself or want some to offer your friends, family and co-workers."

Kelli Kereney, Sharon Kostyun, Marcia Losh, June Lundy, Marge McCue, and Staci Price
